I do think I'm the only one in the neighborhood who mows their yard high. Oh well, hopefully it will pay off with time with a healthier yard!
Well, a few weeks back, I planted some grass seed in the yard. Why you ask? Well, I own a four year old house where the previous owner allowed the grass to be mowed to low, then left the house vacant for a year. So, I have a yard full of dirt with no nutrients, full of weeds, and it's horribly uneven. Dirt, I guess is a nice word. It's more of builders-fill. I started the year adding some fertilizer to the yard, just this week some weed killer. I also started yet again with more dirt down the driveway, hoping to get the yard even with the concrete.
