I started off with a quick trip into Old Navy. I don't know why I keep wanting to go into Old Navy, I think its the commercials make me think they are going to have something in my style and size for a reasonable price. Their stores never have anything. I keep checking their website, but I'd much rather be able to go into the store and try it on before purchasing. Call me old fashioned. I don't always completely trust stores on the web!
Then I went into the Lane Bryant Outlet. Always my store. Sometimes find stuff to get. Today, it was some light-weight sweaters with some weird see-through material on the back. They looked good when I tried them on and will work well when Fall comes. Plus, I got a couple of new pairs of dress pants with nice sized pockets to put my keys in while at work. At half price, it was 2 for the price of 1!
I wandered around the rest of the Outlet mall. It was somewhat disappointing, but mostly I think because there were so many people smoking in the out-door mall. It made the experience unpleasant.
I walked past a Vera Bradley store having a 50% off sale. While that's not my style, I knew it was something my mom enjoyed. The place was packed! People were everywhere and there was more quilted bags than I'd ever seen in store. It was overwhelming! I had to call my mom up and send her pictures of bags before I could figure out what one she'd like! Argh! At least it made her happy when she got one in the mail a week later.
What day wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Ghirardelli Chocolate store? Bonus that it has a soda fountain where I could get a really nice ice cream treat. What can I say? I'm a sucker for chocolate, caramel, and ice cream!
My last stop was at the Kitchen Collection where I picked up a couple of new accessories for my mixer, a beater/scraper and the pour-spout! While the pour-spout doesn't have the tightest fit (which I knew from reading posts on the internet), it does a good enough job to let me pour ingredients into my mixer without making a huge mess and its able to keep the splatter down to a minimum.
Overall, I liked the Outlet mall, however, most of the shops aren't places I'd regularly go to, however, I like good deals. Sometime, I'll have to save up some money and go to the Coach store when there's not a crowd. Size wise, there's not many shops there that have sizes that I can wear, which is disappointing. I don't need kids clothes and I'm not into fragrances. This is the problem with Outlet Malls in general, they don't have the kind of shops that I like going to.
