So let's talk about the hostess. When I come in and check the seats at the bar the hostess is either 1) not present to greet me, 2) sees me but ignores me or 3) has his/her back turned and is completely clueless. I walked in looking for a seat to the bar tonight, didn't see one. Didn't see an open "tall table". Went back to the hostess area, but they all had their back to me and didn't even say hello. So, at 5:30pm with their little sign showing, I sat down at a booth and waited. As seemingly normal, eventually a waiter came up to take my beer order. He was nice enough and I don't have much complaint about Ray's service, other than initially it took him a while to notice I sat down and I never did get the Buzztime Player I asked for.
Ok, so yea, the food, which is what I usually talk about. They serve pizza and related items. It's not gourmet by any means. It's your standard pizza parlor. I don't understand why they are always so busy. The Beer Tour maybe? No, I've been in there other times of the month and they are still packed. Food? It doesn't seem overly different than any delivery guy and Old C's here in Lexington has messed up my order more times than Papa Johns! Though by far, Chili's in Natchitoches was the record for number of times one restaurant has purchased my food (assuming I was served anything other than alcohol, which they never comp, no matter how bad it is, and fire department walkin' past me is pretty bad). The service from my experience has been abnormally hit but largely miss. So, I don't get it.
I only go there when they have a Beer Tour with a t-shirt I like. Even then irritates me, because when I first joined the World Beer Tour, to earn prizes, you finish a min-tour by drinking a certain number of beers. Now, or at least in Kentucky, you have to have a certain number of visits. I'm not even sure if you have to drink all of the beers on the Tour now! So, why would you want to drink all 110 beers, if this is based on visits to get their stein? And if it's on visits, how many? Tonight, I listened to a couple argue with a lady that I assume is the manager, because she didn't mark their card on one of their prior visits. They argued enough she eventually reliented and then blamed the server for not knowing that while you can drink 4 beers on the tour, the prizes are based on the number of visits and the visits are signed off by the manager and the beers by swiping the card. Why would anyone not be confused? Then I swear, if you lived in any state other than Kentucky, it would be based on the number of beers again! And no one has explained about what if you go out of state to earn or if your "home Old Chicago" is out of state?
Buffalo Wild Wings is expensive and pointless, but at least I can play my Buzztime in peach and the service is good!
